Louisville Operating Venues Safely (LOVS) is a coalition of independent event spaces, performance venues and bars committed to safety in Louisville’s entertainment sector. While safety is an ongoing issue, what’s happening today because of COVID-19 is unprecedented and calls for careful implementation of safety measures addressing the specifics of this pandemic. LOVS has allied with Louisville Tourism and the local sectors of Reopen Every Venue Safely REVS and National Independent Venue Association NIVA to ensure a safe reopening by following and augmenting guidelines set forth in the Kentucky Healthy at Work Guidelines for all Venues and Event Spaces and the Responsible Bar & Restaurant Coalition (RBRC), LOVS’ sister hospitality initiative.

The objective of this group is to provide the safest and healthiest experience for patrons, artist, staff, and crew ensuring people consistently know what to expect at a LOVS venue. Together, these venues have created a cohesive and collaborative plan for adherence to safety protocols created in collaboration with Kentucky Healthy at Work Guidelines for all Venues and Event Spaces. LOVS will continue to grow and expand these safety measures to keep pace with those set forth by the state.
